Toyota has finally unveiled the pricing details for the 2024 Land Cruiser, confirming earlier speculations that it would fall within the mid-$50,000 range. With a starting price of $57,445, which includes a $1,495 destination fee, the latest version of this renowned SUV is now officially priced for the market, with deliveries set to commence in the spring.

Compared to its predecessor, the 2024 Land Cruiser comes at a significantly lower base price. While the 2021 model started at $85,665, the new iteration provides a more accessible entry point into the Land Cruiser lineup. However, it’s important to note that there are notable differences between the two models. The 2024 version offers seating for up to five passengers, a departure from the previous model’s capacity for eight occupants. Additionally, the towing capacity of the latest SUV is rated at 6,000 pounds, which is lower than the 8,200-pound capacity of its predecessor.

Despite expectations regarding pricing, Toyota’s forecast for fuel efficiency fell short of the mark. The 2024 Land Cruiser received a combined EPA rating of 23 miles per gallon, slightly below the anticipated 27 mpg. Nevertheless, this represents a significant improvement over the 2021 model’s fuel efficiency, which was rated at just 14 mpg.

Buyers have the option to choose from seven exterior colors for the 2024 Land Cruiser, including Ice Cap, Wind Chill Pearl, Underground, Black, Meteor Shower, Trail Dust, and Heritage Blue. The latter two colors come with a Grayscape roof, adding a distinctive two-tone aesthetic to the vehicle.

Under the hood, the 2024 Land Cruiser is powered exclusively by a hybrid-assisted and turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, generating 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and features standard center- and rear-locking differentials.

Different trim levels offer various features tailored to different needs and preferences. The mid-range trim, for example, includes a front stabilizer bar disconnect system to enhance wheel articulation during off-roading, along with Multi-Terrain Select with Mud, Dirt, and Sand settings for the four-wheel drive system.

For those seeking a top-of-the-line experience, the First Edition trim is available in limited quantities, with only 5,000 units planned for production during the initial two months. This exclusive version comes equipped with features such as a front skid plate, a roof rack, 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, mudflaps, and luxurious leather seats with heating and ventilation.
