Bentley introduces the Batur Convertible, a luxurious droptop variant of its Batur coupe, named after Bali’s stunning crater lake. This ultra-exclusive model, limited to just 16 units, showcases Bentley’s renowned W-12 engine in its most potent form yet, boasting a staggering 740 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. While the W-12 engine has been a mainstay for Bentley, the Batur Convertible marks one of its final appearances before being phased out later this summer.
The W-12 engine, a staple of Bentley for over two decades, has undergone significant advancements, with nearly 40 percent more power and a 25 percent reduction in fuel consumption. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, specially crafted Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, and 3D-printed exhaust finishers, the Batur Convertible promises an exhilarating driving experience befitting a grand tourer of its caliber.
Designed for opulence and performance, the Batur Convertible features a retractable soft top that seamlessly folds away in just 19 seconds, allowing for open-air cruising at speeds up to 30 mph. Bentley offers extensive customization options, ensuring each car is tailored to the owner’s preferences.
With a focus on exclusivity and luxury, the Batur Convertible boasts a lavish interior with rose gold inserts and premium materials, reminiscent of the Continental GT Convertible. Despite its two-seat configuration, the Batur Convertible offers unparalleled comfort and sophistication, complemented by its striking exterior design and integrated ducktail spoiler.
While Bentley has yet to disclose pricing details, the Batur Convertible is expected to command a premium similar to its coupe counterpart, which sold for $2.1 million.
