A demonstration for a self-parking Volvo XC60 did not go as planned last week when the driver decided to perform a quick demo of the Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake system where they expected the car to stop when detecting it approaching a person. Instead of stopping, the car plowed into a group of onlookers who naturally expected it to automatically stop – Because Volvo… Right? It was later explained it was the driver’s fault for selecting a vehicle that was not properly equipped with the Pedestrian Detection system, so “they” say.
