Rimac Automobili is celebrating its Nevera’s outstanding performance records in 2023 with the global debut of the Nevera Time Attack, a limited edition of 12 vehicles. This unveiling coincides with the Nevera’s latest achievement: breaking the electric production car record at the Nürburgring with a time of 7:05:298.
Driven by Croatian racer Martin Kodrić, the Nevera demonstrated its capabilities on the challenging Nürburgring track (shorter configuration of 20.6 km/12.8-miles), completing a lap in 7:00:928, outshining the previous electric vehicle lap record. The feat was verified by independent timing data, TÜV SÜD, and on-board telemetry, using Michelin Cup2R tires.
Kodrić praised the Nevera’s versatility, emphasizing its exceptional performance on the track while maintaining its comfort for road use. Emilio Scervo, Bugatti Rimac’s Chief Technology Officer, highlighted the engineering prowess of the Nevera, designed primarily as a hyper GT.
This Nürburgring achievement is one of over 20 records broken by the Nevera in 2023. Notably, the car set 23 performance records in a day at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP) track, including impressive acceleration benchmarks.
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Nevera continued its record-breaking spree by becoming the fastest electric production car on the hillclimb. As a tribute to this remarkable year, Rimac Automobili produced 12 Nevera Time Attack edition cars, all already sold out.
Mate Rimac, the company’s CEO, noted that the Nevera’s performance speaks for itself, and the Time Attack edition celebrates these accomplishments. The first customer, Jeff Miller, received his Nevera Time Attack during its unveiling at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, expressing excitement about owning such an exceptional vehicle.
The Nevera Time Attack’s design pays homage to Rimac’s legacy, featuring bespoke paintwork inspired by the company’s history and achievements. The exclusive interior showcases special touches and details, including unique stitching and engraved plaques.
With the Nevera’s ongoing success, Rimac Automobili anticipates more records to be shattered in the remainder of the year.
