Camouflage is like the new Matte black for BMW lately when it comes to introducing new M-Motorsport vehicles. Let’s see, we had the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe first introduced in its camouflage skin before the actual revealing and now the new 2012 BMW M5 will follow virtually the same path. Once again, Dr. Kay Segler, president of BMW M GmbH is here to talk about the newest product form BMW’s Motorsport division, the new M5, in the exclusive ‘First Glimpse’ teaser video below.
The new BMW M5 will sport a 4.4-liter twin turbo engine rumored to produce over 600 horsepower mated to an automatic transmission, a first for any ‘M’ vehicle from BMW. Segler says with the push of a button you can transform the new M5 into a sports car. So what if it has an automatic tranny, I can’t wait to see this beast. I wonder if it will beat the current Cadillac CTS-V around the ring?
