Every major car company wants to be #1 and one way to do that is have a competing model to go up against its closest competition in every segment. With that in mind, Nissan’s Chief Creative Officer has recently revealed details about the upcoming sports car lineup including the idea of including a smaller sports car (scaled-down 370Z).
We remember a time when the Nissan 200SX was in demand. Although that time has come and gone, Toyota and Subaru has jumped the gun to reintroduce a small RWD sports car to the market with the new Toyota 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ. Nissan has had much success with the Z car (350Z/370Z) over many years now. Creating a scaled-down version of the 370Z would not be too difficult and would help satisfy the new market that Toyota and Subaru has jump-started.
Would you consider a lighter and less robust (less power than current 370Z) 370Z from Nissan over the current Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ?
