Chevrolet really, really wants Millenials to love the 2012 Chevy Sonic. To prove the car is hip, Chevy’s sent it bungee jumping and skydiving, although the Sonic ad didn’t actually show the “specially modified” car after it landed in the desert. As Chevy points out, the new Sonic will hit 60 miles per hour in less than half a second, but only when you drop it out of a plane. Read more…

Living on this side of the Atlantic, the name Abarth isn’t exactly well known. In Europe, however, Abarth is widely recognized as the in-house tuner for Fiat, similar to what AMG is to Mercedes or NISMO is to Nissan. Abarth earned a reputation by tuning and racing cars in the 1960s and 1970s, and despite the diminutive size of the cars built, they proved more than capable of beating larger, more powerful rivals around tight European road courses. How to Remove Fake System Restore Rogue Optimization Program from Your PC
October 31, 2011 by Steven
Fake System Restore, or commonly called just “System Restore”, is a phony optimization program for the PC that was created by mischievous hackers with the intent to extort money from gullible computer users. The Fake System Restore program uses aggressive methods to force computer users into purchasing a registered version of System Restore. Usually that process takes place from the Fake System Restore’s arsenal of illicit pop-up messages and system optimization recommendations. All of these instances are fabricated and only used to be a scare technique. The scam of System Restore is completed once a computer user is convinced that they supposedly need to purchase the Fake System Restore program to optimize their PC and ends up purchasing the full version of System Restore.
Computer users must realize that a full version of the Fake System Restore program will not optimize their PC nor will it fix any so-called ‘discovered errors’. Instead, System Restore will take your money in return for basically a worthless software application. Any computer user who may notice the Fake System Restore program is strongly urged to take the necessary precautions and actions to remove it at once. Users who have the Fake System Restore program installed on their PC have reported cases where they are unable to utilize their PC like they normally would due to System Restore’s aggressive pop-up messages and repeated system scans.

‘JAMMING WITH THE JUKE’
Yes, I was jamming with the all-new Nissan Juke SV last week. Jamming in musical terms is when the music becomes free-form and that was the feeling I got when looking at and driving the all-new Juke. The styling, interior and driving fun is taken from several different types of auto segments.

Adding a whole new meaning to the phrase “hot car,” some profit-focused used car dealers in Japan are reselling cars contaminated by radiation from the Fukushima Daiichi reactor meltdown. Cars that had previously been marked for destruction have been re-registered with new license plates and sold to unsuspecting customers, both in Japan and abroad. Japan has a long history of exporting “lightly used” automobiles to eager buyers in Russia and Southeast Asia. Read more…

The late Steve Jobs was truly a pioneer of our lifetime and in the automotive enthusiast community many of us remember spy shots of his famous silver Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG. Recently this mystery has resurfaced with an explanation from the folks at iTWire who spoke to Job Callas, the CTO of Entrust who worked with Apple in different security roles. Reportedly, according to Callas, Jobs found a loophole in California laws that would essentially allow him to drive around without a license plate.
